At our last meeting in Vienna, it was announced that HURIDOCS was planning to organise a General Assembly in 2004 and that we would plan to have our next ECCHRD meeting right before or after this HURIDOCS General Assembly. The HURIDOCS Secretariat informed us that there will be no HURIDOCS General Assembly this year.
So after a "long
silence" from the ECCHRD Secretariat, we are happy to inform you that we found a
place to have our 27th meeting. Stefania Saccarola from the European Master's Degree in
Human Rights and Democratisation
kindly
offered to host this year's meeting in Venice. The meeting will be held from 2-4
June 2004.
At this moment we
are still working on the draft agenda for the meeting. Suggestions for agenda
items are most welcome! Please send your ideas to the ECCHRD Secretariat (sim.documentation@law.uu.nl). We hope
to send out the draft agenda in the course of next week.
Minutes of
previous meetings can be found at the ECCHRD website:

We hope that this
announcement will enable you to start planning for your participation in the
27th meeting and are looking forward to seeing you in Venice!
Yours sincerely,
Maaike Hogenkamp and Saskia Bal
