ECCHRD

Dear friends,

At long last we are pleased to announce the 30th (!) meeting of the European Co-ordination Committee on Human Rights Documentation (ECCHRD). As those of you at last year's meeting will recall, Lena Olsson offered to host the meeting in 2007 at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law in Lund, Sweden. We are very pleased to confirm this very kind offer and announce that the meeting will take place in Lund on 7-8 June 2007.

A draft agenda is attached. Please note that we have planned on two full days this year. Since it is our 30th anniversary we are particularly happy to have Hans Rosling as our keynote speaker (www.gapminder.org).

We are trying to ensure that the agenda reflects a mixture of traditional information management issues with some of the more exciting technical developments in the information field. If you have any suggestions you can contact us at ECCHRD-Secretariat@amnesty.org. We will be sending out more practical information - hotels, venue etc - plus the final agenda and registration forms in April.

The minutes of last year's meeting are available on the ECCHRD website at http://www2.law.uu.nl/english/sim/library/ecchrd/meetings.html

We hope you are interested in the agenda and look forward to seeing many of you in Lund in June!

Best regards,
Iris and Fiona
